Oddli Inspired Disney Shirt

This is the perfect DIY when you need a last minute shirt for a trip or event or just in general! I was one outfit short for my Disney World trip and actually sewed it on the plane the right there. :)

Overview

Materials

Fabric scraps

Needle and thread

Embroidery Circle (not crucial but makes hand sewing much easier)

T-shirt (mine is from Target)

How To

Step 1

Cut your letters out of the scrap fabric. If you’re worried about hand drawing the letters, I trick I often use is to find a font on dafont.com, write in your exact word in your desired font, zoom in, hold the fabric over your laptop screen with brightness up and you can trace!

Step 2

Pin to shirt. The most crucial part is putting your t-shirt on and pinning the letters to the shirt while it’s on or adjusting it while it’s on as it will stretch differently than when it’s just flat on the ground. This will save you from any weird letter placement!

Step 3

Hand stitch your letters to the shirt. You could use a sewing machine as well, but as I mentioned earlier, I was pressed for time and sewed on the plane, which really didn’t take too long. It was fun to have a craft for the plane, as well!

Voila!
